After pAUL'S DEPARTURE FROM TRIVIUM HE DECIDED TO LAUNCH HIS VERY OWN BAND CALLED Bedlem W/  longtime friends/musicians guitarist Joey Trace Brassal (Ex Fashion Bomb), vocalist Mike Petrasek and bassist brian ahern.

"On top of drumming duties and even playing guitar/singing, I’m most passionate about songwriting. I like to write kickass metal grooves that make you want to get up off of your ass but have those kind of big chorus hooks ya know. I really hope people dig Bedlem because I feel we have something to offer to both the rock and metal world man. Picking up the pieces after being canned was so hard for me, I didn’t know what to do. One sec I was on top of the world; then boom I was out. I felt like a loser totally broke and confused. Then one day I was going thru some old demo tapes from 2003-2004 of a band I started called Bedlem (when we were kids man like 12-14 years old haha). So I called up my old friends Mike Petrasek, Brian Ahern and best friend Joey Brassal and we started writing and it just feels write man. I mean the shit sucked when we were kids because we didn’t know what the hell we were doing at the time but everything we are writing now feels good to us and just makes sense."
